0330 133 0085These Terms & Conditions explain how Simple Pay Carpets Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) supplies flooring products and services, and how our interest-free payment plan works. By paying a deposit and/or signing our payment agreement, you accept these Terms.
1. About Our Service
We supply and fit flooring (including carpet, vinyl and laminate) using trusted local installation teams. We are not a finance provider and we do not offer regulated credit agreements.
2. Areas We Cover
Our service is available in selected UK regions and may change over time as we expand. If you are outside our current coverage area, we may be unable to proceed with your booking.
3. Home Visit, Quote & Order
- Free home visit: We can arrange a home visit to show samples, take measurements and provide a quote.
- Quote validity: Quotes are valid for a reasonable period stated at the time of quotation. If materials or labour costs change, we may need to re-quote.
- What’s included: Your quote may include underlay, grippers and door bars/plates where specified. Your representative will confirm what is included for your job.
- Extras: Uplift and disposal are not included unless explicitly stated. Subfloor preparation and remedial work may be additional (see section 10).
4. Deposits & Booking Your Installation
If you choose to proceed, a
£50 deposit is required to secure your booking and set up your interest-free payment plan. The £50 deposit is
deducted from the total price.Unless agreed otherwise, we typically order stock within
6 weeks from the date your deposit is paid.
5. Payment Plans (Interest-Free)
- Interest-free: We do not charge interest on payment plans.
- From £10 per week: Weekly payments start from £10 for qualifying totals. Your actual payment amount depends on the total order value.
- How you pay: Payments are made by standing order in line with the agreement you sign.
- Installation timing: Installation dates are scheduled when your payments have reached the required stage to cover materials/stock and scheduling.
6. Missed or Late Payments
- If a payment is missed, your installation date will not be booked or may be paused/cancelled until payments are brought up to date.
- We do not charge late payment fees.
- If payments are late/missed on three occasions, we may cancel the booking. In that case, we will refund monies paid minus the £50 deposit and any costs we have reasonably incurred as set out in these Terms (including non-returnable materials already ordered).
- If necessary, unpaid balances may be referred for debt recovery. We prefer to resolve issues directly with customers first.
7. Ownership of Goods (Title)
All goods remain the property of
Simple Pay Carpets Ltd until the total balance has been paid in full. Ownership transfers only once full payment has cleared.
8. Cooling-Off Period (14 Days)
Once your deposit is paid, you have a
14-day cooling-off period during which you may cancel for a full refund of monies paid (including the deposit), provided no materials have been ordered specifically for your job.
9. Cancellations After the Cooling-Off Period
If you cancel
after the 14-day cooling-off period:
- The £50 deposit is non-refundable.
- If goods/materials have already been ordered, you are responsible for any non-recoverable costs we have incurred for your job (for example: special order materials, delivery charges, or supplier restocking fees).
- Where applicable, remaining monies paid (after deducting deposit and the costs above) will be refunded.
10. Subfloor Conditions & Unexpected Issues
Quotes are based on visible conditions at the time of the home visit. Sometimes issues are discovered once uplift begins (for example: uneven subfloor, damp, rot, loose boards, adhesive residue, or other defects).
- If additional work is needed, we will explain the options and any extra costs before proceeding where possible.
- If you choose not to proceed due to unforeseen issues, we will provide an “exit” option. You may still be responsible for any costs already incurred (for example: materials ordered specifically for you or labour already completed).
11. Customer Responsibilities Before Fitting
- Rooms must be cleared of furniture and personal items unless you have agreed a paid uplift/moving service in advance.
- Please ensure safe access, parking where possible, and that pets/children are kept away from work areas.
- Newly decorated rooms should be fully cured/dried. Paintwork and wallpaper can be vulnerable during fitting.
12. Installation, Snags & Workmanship
- We use trusted local fitters to carry out installation.
- Minor snags can occur during fitting. If you notice an issue, you must notify us as soon as reasonably possible so we can liaise with the installer.
13. Warranties & Guarantees
- Materials warranty: Manufacturer warranties apply to flooring materials and vary by product (typically 5–10 years, depending on the product chosen). Details will be confirmed at the point of sale.
- Fitting/workmanship: Workmanship warranty is between the fitter and the customer. We will assist with communication where needed.
- Normal wear & tear, misuse, water damage where the product is not rated, and failure to follow care guidance may invalidate warranties.
14. Pricing, Changes & Availability
- All prices are provided in GBP. We are not VAT registered and do not charge VAT.
- Stock availability can change. If your selected product becomes unavailable, we will offer alternatives or a cancellation/refund route in line with these Terms.
15. Complaints
If you have a complaint, please contact us using the details above with your name, address and a description of the issue. We aim to resolve complaints fairly and promptly.
16. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence). Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. We are not responsible for pre-existing defects or issues in your property that we could not reasonably identify before work begins.
17. Privacy
We handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy. We may process customer details to administer quotes, bookings, payments and (if required) debt recovery.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of
England and Wales, and disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
